A summary of our most recent project.
RnH were delighted, in the face of fierce competition, to have been awarded a three ship deal with P&O Cruises Australia to demolish existing areas and replace them with a fully certified Category 14 lockers. This project was a real test of our logistical department and Paul Taylor was outstanding with this challenge, three containers, three ships, three loading dates, three ports all within a four week span. Each ship and area were different, requiring different materials and tools so each container was bespoke in it's contents. The installation was carried out in service below decks, where the conditions were cramped and hot. The men took it in their stride and, as we have come to expect from our small, specialist teams to have the ability to work in extreme conditions and without complaint, their main focus was to avoid the disruption of the normal operating of the ship and complete on schedule. this was achieved. Managed on site by RnH Senior Project Manager Mark Bullock all of the projects were completed on time, and they even had time to install sprinklers into another existing Category 14 locker after completion. During these projects our disciplines were, Joinery, Welding, Cutting and Burning, Flooring (including an A60 screed on one ship), A60 Lagging, Plumbing, Electrical and Ducting fabrication and fitting (including the addition of fire screen dampers along with remote and local controls and indication).
